Irish Rocketry

Supporting rocketry in Ireland for nearly 20 years.

Irish Rocketry is Ireland’s non-profit organisation dedicated to growing and supporting model and high-power amateur rocketry for all.

We promote rocketry as both a STEM education activity and as a safe, inclusive hobby, connecting with enthusiasts, students and educators across the country.

We are a Tripoli Rocketry Association prefecture (Tripoli 129), which provides a pathway to internationally recognised certification in amateur high-power rocketry and high safety standards.

Education & Outreach

We support teachers, schools, and youth groups introducing students to STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) through hands-on rocketry. From build & fly projects to classroom demonstrations, we provide guidance, materials, and training.

From launch demonstrations to rocket workshops, we have supported hundreds of activities across primary and secondary level schools, and for youth organisations like Scouting Ireland

University & Research Support

Irish Rocketry actively works with both student teams and third-level staff to facilitate participation in rocketry. Helping educators to introduce rocketry in the classroom as part of Project-Based Learning, and mentoring students in developing clubs & societies linked to space and rocketry.

There has been a recent increase in international rocketry competitions, with Irish teams competing and growing in number. We provide technical mentorship, safety oversight, and national coordination to help grow the community.
